Our History

During the late 1970's, the Tampa Bay area was the subject of national publicity that highlighted women's exclusion from the local power structure, leadership positions and private club membership. In response, Ingrid Landis, then an advertising executive, brought together a group of women to discuss ways to create change.  The outcome was the formation of the Network of Executive Women, with Ms. Landis being installed as our first president.  Over the years, N .E. W. has attracted top-level professionals and executive members to its ranks providing support to its members, women in need and worthwhile causes.
