Ms. Theodore (University of Florida, B.A, 1980; University of
Florida School of Law, J.D. 1983).
Ms. Theodore has practiced law since 1983, and her practice includes
representation of businesses in the areas of Labor and Employment,
Construction Law, interactions with local governments, and related
corporate matters. She is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a
City, County and Local Government Law specialist.

She can provide guidance in developing personnel policies or with legal
issues associated with outsourcing of employees. She can assist with
compliance with various employment-related statutes in an effort to avoid
litigation, including, wage and hour issues under the federal Fair Labor
Standards Act and state statutes, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and
the Family and Medical Leave Act. Ms. Theodore is a partner with Ruden

Ms. Theodore participated in Harvard University’s Program on Negotiation
for Senior Executives and is certified as a Circuit Court Civil Mediator
by the Florida Supreme Court. She has also been trained in the mediation
of governmental issues, in the design of alternative dispute resolution
systems and in the arbitration of disputes.
Ms Theodore is bilingual, and has assisted French speaking clients in
connection with a wide array of legal matters by teaming with other
specialists in the Ruden firm and bridging communication gaps, as needed.
These have included matters of international custody disputes involving
the Hague Convention, pre-nuptial agreements, real estate transactions and
corporate legal needs.
