MARY LI CREASY is a partner and Department Head for
the employment law practice group in the Tampa, Florida, office of
Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. She is Board certified by the Florida Bar
as a specialist in labor and employment law. She graduated Rhodes College
in 1985 and received her J.D. with honors from Memphis State University in
1989. She is admitted to practice in Florida and Louisiana.
Ms. Creasy has extensive experience in representing clients and executives
in employment discrimination litigation, breach of contract claims,
non-competition suits, Wage/Hour and OSHA investigations and collective
bargaining. She also regularly advises employers on preventative measures
such as drafting employee handbooks and policy manuals, union avoidance,
sexual harassment training and investigations, and ADA and FMLA regulatory
compliance matters.
She has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution and is a
member of the panel of neutrals for the American Arbitration Association.
Ms. Creasy teaches courses in Employment Law and Employment Discrimination
as an adjunct professor for Stetson College of Law. Ms. Creasy has served
as the Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Hillsborough
County Bar Association.
