PRACTICE START UP:
This service is geared to assist a physician who wants to get his/her practice started. AER Consulting, Inc. can assist these physicians in their practice start up. This service involves all aspects of practice development and includes finding a location and negotiating a lease; contacting, applying, negotiating with managed care plans to become a participating provider, applying to Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, and other health care companies; researching, reviewing and securing bids for computer services, telephone equipment, ancillary equipment; recruiting, interviewing and hiring personnel; preparing the organizational structure, job descriptions, general office procedures, personnel manual; assisting in securing an attorney, CPA, insurance agents, etc.

PRACTICE ASSESSMENTS:
Established practices often find that they are not practicing at top efficiency. Often an assessment of the practice is in order. The assessment can be as comprehensive and detailed as reviewing all aspects of the practice from Operations (patient, paper, medical records and telephone flow to accounts receivable analysis to personnel staffing; or as focused as looking at coding, documentation and receivables. The assessment is performed and a detailed report to the owners of the practice is presented with specific recommendations for implementation. The implementation can be performed by the owners and management of the practice or the practice can contract with AER Consulting, Inc. to implement the recommendations.

COMPLIANCE PROGRAMS AND AUDITS:
In today's health care environment, many entities are keeping an eye on the services being performed and billed by health care providers. It is imperative that practices conduct routine reviews of physician documentation and billing for correct coding to facilitate physician and staff education and compliance. AER Consulting, Inc. can provide you with these routine audits as well as a complete comprehensive report on the outcome of the review. Certified professionals perform these services, such as:

MANAGED CARE NEGOTIATING:

Management, Monitoring, Organizational Services:
Today's health care environment demands experienced, high powered management. Often, small practices do not have the cash resources to hire a "high powered" administrator. AER Consulting, Inc. can provide the small practice with management monitoring services, consultation, and advice on the management of the practice. Organizational services are provided, i.e., review and preparation of office procedures, job descriptions, organizational structure, personnel manuals, etc. These services include overseeing that the practice runs smoothly; the staff is trained; charges and collections are processed appropriately, accurately and on a timely basis; billing is done routinely as well as follow up until payment received; processing of accounts payable; coordination with vendors of supplies; maintenance and upkeep of the personnel and procedure manuals, as well as the job descriptions of the staff, etc.
